A Rare Event

Jimmy and I went out on a date!  We had saw a movie and had lunch.  Ahhh, the simple pleasures in life ;0)

This is the first time we've gone out to eat, *just the two of us,* since Amelia was born.  And it was only the second movie we've seen in a movie theater since Amelia was born!!  We really need to get out more...

We took Amelia to the babysitter Wednesday morning and left to go see the 10am showing of Moneyball.  There was only a handful of people and we were the youngest couple in the theater.  It was so cute to see all the retired couples and we talked about how someday we would be like them too! 

The movie was great and afterwards we went to lunch at Benihana.  For dessert, we went to Gerogetown Cupcake and then to a toy store to get Amelia something special ;0)

Although our conversation focused on Amelia and little A, we also fantasied about our upcoming move next summer (location still to be determined!) and what retirement would be like!  Spending a weekday together was so fun... it felt like we were skipping class.

Our date was special and we really appreciated our time together.  I really wish we had family in our area so we could have more help and possibly have more than just two or three dates in a year, ha ha ha.  Although we love spending time Amelia, it's so nice to have time alone.  I can't wait until our next date, but who knows when that will be, ha ha ha ;0)
