Surprise Baby Shower

I am so lucky and humbled to have the most fabulous and amazing friends.  I don't know how they pulled off a surprise baby shower for me, but they did!  I was adamant and very open about not wanting a baby shower since this was my third baby, but these amazing ladies had other plans.

I thought I was going out to dinner with a few friends.  Much to my surprise, my friends had gathered together at my favorite craft shop to celebrate the upcoming birth of Little Lehman #3.  It was so special and something I will never forget.

Honorary Aunties to my kiddos

Since Jimmy and I didn't need anything for the baby, during the shower, everyone painted a superhero/comic themed canvas for the nursery.  They were so creative and thoughtful.  This was definitely a Pinterest win!

Not only did they paint canvases, they also got me gifts!

Kristel was the very first friend I made when we moved to Clarksville.  Sadly, she's moving to Texas next week. It was bittersweet, but I'm so glad to spend one more fun evening with her before her big move.  Hopefully our paths will cross again.

The canvases look amazing in the nursery!

Dr. Lehmans

Amelia and Alex have named baby brother Captain America.  They give him checkups, read books, and talk to him through my belly button, "the portal."

Alex plans to build him a ladder to help him get out of my belly.

Amelia says she wants four more brothers.

Lehman Ladies Day

Amelia and I had a special girls day.  We went out to dinner and then to the Roxy theater to see The Aristocats children's play.  Afterwards, we got sundaes and went shopping.  It was such a fun day and I'm looking forward to more special days with my little lady.  We will be outnumbered by the boys soon, so we have to stick together ;0)

Rocket Ship Detour

On our way home from our beach trip, the kids spotted a rocket ship from the freeway.  Of course, we just HAD to stop to check it out.

Beachin' in 'Bama: Rainy Day

We woke up to rain and thunderstorms, so we decided to check out the arcade and go out for lunch.

Thankfully, by the time the kids woke up from their naps, the weather was perfect for another trip to the beach!

On the agenda for today, build a sandcastle

On our way back to our condo, the kids asked to go to the indoor pool.  They enjoyed it so much, we ended up spending over an hour there.  At first they were apprehensive about swimming (with floaties) on their own, but after a few minutes, they gained confidence and swam around by themselves.  They both cried when we had to leave.

Beachin' in 'Bama: Beach

It was the prefect day for the beach!

The kids had been talking about burying daddy for weeks.  It was the first thing they wanted to do when we got to the sand.

Their turn!
