So so so happy that Jennifer came to visit! Not only was she fun to hang out with (dance parties!), she got us out of the house and doing new and exciting things in Nashville. Sometimes you just need to hang out with the right kind of person to get you out of your rut. It was so refreshing to do adult centered things and I am so thankful for her visit.
We created this blog to keep friends and family updated with what we are up to! We are a military family, so we are always far from home and the people we love. Right now we are stationed at Fort Campbell and live in Tennessee.

BACH Thanksgivimg
The kids and I went to the hospital the day before thanksgiving to have a pre-Thanksgiving meal with Jimmy. It's a BACH tradition that the command team and senior leaders serve Thanksgiving at the hospital.
The kids got a kick out of seeing Jimmy serving food and wearing a silly hat and apron. Mimi kept asking why daddy was in the kitchen giving people food.

Oh My! (video)
I have a daughter that twerks and a son that humps random objects...
We have failed as parents.
They really are sweet kids. I just hope I don't screw them up too much!

Boots and Bonding
Daddy's boots were the toy of the evening...
Alex asked us if the boots made him look taller
Jimmy has been working crazy hours lately, so we put a lot of extra effort into spending quality family time together. Some nights, he only sees the kids for less than an hour, but we make it count! Jimmy's dedication to our little family makes me just love him even more!

Fire and Ice
We woke up this morning to our first snow of the season. The kids were very excited. Amelia kept asking if today was Christmas.
After we enjoyed the snow, we took a tour of the local fire station with some friends. Alex was excited to use the fire station potty and Amelia was concerned that there would be an actual fire at the fire station.
Alex's favorite part of the fire truck was the 100 foot ladder. He kept pointing at it.
The first 20 minutes of the tour went very well. Amelia and Alex were very excited, wide eyed, and genuinely interested in everything. However, after the 20 minute honeymoon, my kids were ready to go home!
It was well below freezing outside. As soon as we got home, Amelia changed into her sundress and put on some shades.
I love my little diva!
