Christmas Eve

A visit to the National Christmas Tree. (Amelia is in the stroller.)  Afterwards, we got Chinese food, which is a Christmas Eve Lehman tradition.

She loves her first Christmas tree... and her daddy, who she is staring at in the picture.

Jimmy read Amelia, "The Night Before Christmas" before she went to bed today.  It was very sweet and definitely a new Lehman tradition!

Our Little Family

Christmas 2010

Dr. Jekyll and "Mealzilla"

We've had quite the eventful week.  Our little Amelia has been super fussy.  Our once happy, smiley, mellow baby who sleeps through the night has been having a difficult week.  She's been inconsolable, not eating well, and waking up at night.

She had a slight fever and was drooling uncontrollably, so we figured it might be teething.  However, after four LONG days of her fussiness we decided to take her to the doctor for a check-up.  We wanted to make sure she didn't have an ear infection or some sort of sickness... there just had to be a reason for her sudden change in personality!

Since there were no urgent care appointments available, Jimmy had to take her to the ER.  Well, after hours of waiting and check up from the doctor, it turns out that we have a perfectly HEALTHY baby!  In fact, the doctor said he didn't even think Amelia was teething!

Ha ha ha.  We're first time parents, so this is all new to us!  I guess a high maintenance, fussy, crying baby doesn't necessarily mean a sick baby ;0)  I still wish there was something we could do because she is feeling so miserable... my poor baby. I just hope this change isn't permanent and she goes back to her old mellow self.

A new nickname:

Amelia has many nicknames, but lately, we've been calling her "Meals."  When she's in the stroller she's "Meals on Wheels" and when she's smiling and giggling, we call her "Happy Meals."  We also call her "10-minute meals" too...you get the idea.

Jimmy and I went to see the musical Annie yesterday, so Steven babysat Amelia for a few hours.  He hadn't cared for her on his own since her sudden change to a fussy baby, so he was nervous.  She was napping when we left, but as soon as we shut the door she woke up.  Steven said she turned into "Mealzilla!"  I felt really bad for Steven... he said she was crying pretty much the whole time we were gone.  So now she has a new nickname for when she's crying... Mealzilla!

Getting Ready for Christmas

It's been a Lehman tradition to put our holiday decorations up during Thanksgiving weekend.  I just haven't posted any pictures up until now...

8 years

Jimmy and I celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary this week on December 14.  This anniversary is extra special because Amelia is now a part of our family.  I got Jimmy giant tubes of taffy, licorice, and bubble gum and he surprised me with tickets to the musical Annie.  I loved Annie when I was a child, so I am really excited for the show!

I hadn't looked at our wedding pictures for a while, so I went through the album... so many memories.   Here are some pictures of our wedding.  We had the reception in the Spokane Club, but I think the pics are archived on another computer.  Otherwise, I would have posted some pics from the reception because we had a blast!
