BACH "O" Day

The hospital had it's annual Organizational Day today.  Basically it is a day to celebrate all the staff and Soldiers at the hospital.  I volunteer for the Family Readiness Group (FRG) and we provided free popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and candy this year.  Other activities included huge bouncy castles and slides, karaoke, BBQ, sumo wrestling, and various demonstrations.     It was hot and busy, but it was a great day.

Spring Sunshine

This past week, we have taken advantage of the sunshine and warm weather.  We are trying to get as much (comfortable) outdoor time as possible until the squelching heat of the summer arrives!  I know I always complain about living out in the country, but I really appreciate the space (we have a huge yard!) and all the fresh air this time of year.

I just love watching the kids play outside.  Most of the time they don't even need toys to occupy them.  It's almost surreal to see them chasing butterflies, birds, and bunnies (there is a family living under our shed!), searching and examining bugs, picking flowers, investigating every sound they hear, looking at the clouds, and pointing out every helicopter and plane they see in the air.

Just Add Water

What started out as watering the flowers turned into two soaking wet kids!  I guess that's what happens when it's already 80 degrees by 10am and the kids are hanging out with daddy!

Little bro payback time... his little smirk cracks me up!

Jimmy gave Alex and Mimi a science lesson on water pressure and forces (kinking the hose and releasing it to squirt farther).  Alex is a quick learner!

Rain Rain Go Away!

The kids were outside for some early morning playtime.  About 20 minutes into their fun, it started pouring rain!  It didn't stop them though.  After playing outside for a few minutes and getting completely soaked, Jimmy gave them an umbrella and they had even more fun  They are sooooo cute!

By the afternoon, the rain was gone.  We had a little picnic and "cloud party."

"Mommy, let's have a cloud party!!"  I so enjoyed just laying around looking at the clouds.  Their imaginations never cease to amaze me.  Mimi saw a cloud that looked like cupcake with sprinkles and Alex saw an octagon, ha ha.

Downtown Clarksville

Unfortunately, both our vehicles needed to be serviced, so we had to drop them off at the place the kids call the "car doctor."  Since the dealership is located downtown, we had a few car free hours to roam around.  We made a family day out of it and it worked out perfectly!

We walked around downtown, where the kids "investigated" and enjoyed the surroundings.  I absolutely love their ability to play and entertain themselves.  We stopped by a local cupcake bakery for some treats and then painted pottery.  It was just so refreshing to be out and about as a family.

Alex lost interest after about five minutes, so Jimmy ended up doing most of the painting.  He secretly enjoyed it though ;0)

Mimi and her kitty cat.  Do you think there's enough paint on there?  Ha!

Alex, daddy, and their train
These guys are adorable!

We walked around downtown so much that Amelia got a blister.  Her remedy?  As soon as we got home, she wrapped Rapunzel's hair around her foot.  She cracks us up!  I love how her little mind works.

Strawberry Pickin' with Daddy

I took less than two weeks, but we snarfed up our two boxes of strawberries from our last visit.  We were off to the strawberry farm again, but this time Jimmy was able to join us!

Little Lehman DJs

Ummmm, daddy, we want to play too!

Alex kept calling himself a "D-joe" instead of DJ
