Mia's play mat

Jimmy and I like to think that our little Mia is advanced...
at just 3 weeks old, she is already grabbing at her toys!

Tummy time...
she can hold her head up for a few seconds already!

Okay... time to move onto something else!

First bath in the tub

Amelia's little belly button stub fell off after 10 days, so we were very excited to finally give her a bath in her baby bathtub.  Because she is so little, it took the two of us to get the task done.

I had to jump into the tub so I could hold her head up.  We were not too sure if this was the right way to do this, but she enjoyed her bath, so I guess we did okay ;0)

She didn't cry, but had a "concerned" face throughout the bath.  We just assumed she liked it.
(Her little head is soooo cute!)

Fresh, clean, and content

Close up!

Mary turns 30

My birthday was September 7th and I turned 30!!!   Turning 30 is a big milestone and I now officially feel like an adult, ha ha ha.  Jimmy and I had always planned to start at family around the time we turned 30 and I can't believe that time is here... AND we have a beautiful daughter.  This was the best birthday ever.

Our little family

For my birthday, Jimmy got me my favorite cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake.  The ones with the hearts on them are my absolute favorite... Red Velvet.

Jimmy got me a glider and ottoman for my birthday.  I love it!
Amelia and I spend a lot of time on it for nursing and cuddling.

A visit from Auntie Jessica

My sister, Jessica, was determined to be present during my labor and delivery.  Since I was due on September 3, she decided to fly in on September 1.  We all figured that since this was my first baby, that I would probably go a little past my due date and she would be here to help welcome little Amelia into the world.  Well, I delivered 2 weeks early, so she missed it... but it turned out fine because she had more days to bond and hang out with Amelia in person ;0)
