Jimmy and I had another great weekend full of sunshine and 85 degree weather! We had a date night on Saturday and went for dinner and a movie. We watched the movie Adventureland. The movie was okay, but watching it made me want to quit my job and get crappy minimum wage job somewhere so I could meet cool/funny/crazy people and not have any responsibilities! Right now, I'm the youngest person at work and most of the people I work with are 20-30 years older than me. They are all nice people, but I long for more interaction with people closer to my age.
Last Sunday, Jimmy and I went on a trail run at James River Park. Jimmy was nice enough to run at a slower pace and I was able to keep up pretty well. It was beautiful and the trails were fun. I almost tripped on a few roots and I landed funny on a rock, but I made it through the run with no injuries. I am REALLY clumsy, so that was my main concern. Jimmy is doing 21K trail run in June, so he is practicing for that. We plan to do a trail run every Sunday as part of Jimmy's training.
While I was at work on Monday, there were tornadoes in our area, so we had to implement our tornado action plan. The sirens on the base were blasting and we had to shut ourselves (all staff and clients) in a small room with no windows. It was pretty intense, but ended after about 15-20 minutes. I was most worried about my car and the "penny sized hail" that had fallen, but I was happy to see that my car had very few scratches after the storm :0)
We created this blog to keep friends and family updated with what we are up to! We are a military family, so we are always far from home and the people we love. Right now we are stationed at Fort Campbell and live in Tennessee.

Enjoying the sun
Ooops, I thought this blog was posted on April 5th, but I guess it didn't! It's from 2 weeks ago, but I'll post it anyway :0)
This whole weekend has been outstanding! It's been sunny and about 75 degrees both Saturday and today. Jimmy is going through a Panara Bread phase, so we went there today for lunch. I am obsessed with bread bowls (well, bread in general), so I'm glad Jimmy is over his Mexican food obsession.
Afterwards, we went to the Petersburg Battlefiled for a nice long walk. I love being outside and enjoying the fresh air. During the walk we coulnd't help but talk about retirement and moving to a place where we could be near the water with great weather... Hawaii. But then the conversation turned to our thoughts about global warming, the melting of the polar ice caps, then the economy, etc. Ha ha ha! Aren't we just so romantic?

Quick Update
I figured I would post something, since it's been a while. Life has been going very well in the Lehman household.
Jimmy and I both signed up for the Army 10-Miler in Washington D.C. so hopefully that will go well. I know for sure Jimmy will do awesome... he could run it tomorrow if he wanted to and have a great time. As for me, I have never run more than 6 miles, so I'm going to have to train so that I can even COMPLETE the race, ha ha ha. I am excited and ready for the challenge. My goal is to finish the race in less than 2 hours, so I'm thinking about an easy 10-12 minute mile pace.
I am still loving my Pilates and Step Kick class and still running at least 3 days a week. I'm really excited about my little arm muscles, he he he. I can finally do push ups! (I've never really been serious about working out, so things like that are very exciting for me.) However, because I have to start training for the 10-Miler I have to start running 5 days a week. Hmmmmmmmm, yeah, I'll probably start that NEXT week, yeah.
Since the beginning of the year, Jimmy has been babysitting my friend's daughter on Saturdays for a few hours so we can go to the gym. I think it's so cute! She's a kindergartner named Mia and she's 5 years old. They do art projects, play with the kitties, read books, and watch TV. It's cute to see them playing and cuddling together. One time, Mia brought her Easy Bake oven, so when we got home, they had smore's ready for us. It just gets us both excited about having a family in the future... I know what you're thinking, we still want to wait about 1 more year. Then the Lehman babies will come!
My brother has been backpacking through Southeast Asia for about 5 weeks now. They just finished up China and now he's in Laos and their next stop is Vietnam. We talk often and he is having wonderful adventures. I just hope he comes back!
Well, that's all for now. Like I said, there's nothing too exciting going on with us right now. I miss you all! Hugs and smiles to you :0)
