National Mall, Day 2

Ben and Jessica headed out to the National Mall again, but this time Amelia and I only stayed for a few hours.  We took the Metro down and then walked with them to the Jefferson Memorial.  We headed home afterwards, but Ben and Jessica stayed to see more sights and check out more museums... that is until the EARTHQUAKE!

On the Metro train

All of these pictures were taken on our way to the Jefferson Memorial.  It's  LONG walk from the main area of the National Mall.  In fact, I've been to the National Mall numerous times and live in the DC area and have never been to the Jefferson Memorial, ha ha ha.  This time, we made the long trek to check it out and it was totally worth it!  It was amazing.

You can see the Jefferson Memorial in the background... far far away!

We made it!

It's nice to finally meet you Thomas!

Amelia can't stop pointing at everything and everyone.  She is so curious!

The Jefferson Memorial is huge!
