We took a family vacation to Gatlinburg, TN to check out the Smoky Mountains.
For our first day, our original plan was to take a one mile hike on a paved trail, but when we arrived, the path was closed!! Thankfully, we found another trail nearby. It wasn't as "child friendly" but we gave it a try! At first, the kids were not happy and wanted to get back in the car. It only took five minutes for them to get excited and get into full explorer mode. They actually got really upset when we had to leave. They enjoyed it so much!
We are so thankful that Nana flew in to join us for our trip
Throwing rocks and twigs into the river was probably the highlight for the kids.
Amelia and Alex loved jumping from rock to rock and navigating through the path. They were fearless!
