And then there were two...

My brother, Steven, lived with Jimmy and I for almost 2 years. Last Wednesday, he moved out, so I am feeling really sad. Living with Steven has been such a great experience and the house will be very quiet (but more tidy!) now that he's gone. We had a lot of good times!!

Steven's off to backpack through Southeast Asia for a few months and then will move back to Bellingham, WA to be with his friends.

I miss him so much already, but I know he can't live with his sister forever! I think I know what moms feel like when their child leaves for college... you know they have to move on to bigger and better things, but you want to keep them close forever :(

Here's my Steven Montage:

My new addiction

Since moving to Virginia, I have had more interest in my health and have been working out on a more regular basis. I never really cared about my health before, but I am assuming this new interest is due to the fact that I am getting older and want to keep my slim figure. I have also been trying to cut my sugar intake and eat more fruits and vegetables. I was never an athlete, but I started a simple workout routine of running a few times a week and weights for toning my arms.

I just recently started a beginner Pilates class during the week and Step Kick on the weekends. I have always wanted to take classes like that, but never did because I was too scared to go by myself. Well, I talked one of my friends into going with me and have been going ever since!

I am now addicted to Pilates and love it very much! I can't believe I have never tried it before. Step Kick is really fun and I can't wait to take Turbo Kick in the summer!

Valentine's Day and more Maui pics

I'm not really into Valentine's Day too much. There's something about forced romance/love that doesn't sit well with me. I didn't really want to go out because of the crowds, but Steven and Jimmy talked me into it and I had a lot of fun!

Steven wanted to treat us to a movie, so the three if us went to see Slumdog Millionaire. It is an excellent movie and I highly recommend it. The movie ended late, but Jimmy's favorite Mexican restaurant was still open, so we went there for some good food and awesome service. We have been regulars there for about two years, so the staff is always extra nice to us. Then we went searching for the 4th book in a cat fantasy book series called The Warriors. It's actually classified as a young adult book series, but Jimmy loves it ;0) Though it was a fun adventure, we couldn't find it. However, thanks to the wonderful world of the Internet, it should be coming in the mail soon.

Maui: Part 4

These are pics from a beach near mile marker 14. A local "dude bra" told us about this "sweet" snorkeling site.
I like this picture because Hunter looks like an old hippie.
Next time we're in Hawaii, I want to learn to paddle board (see the guy behind us!).
