March Madness Chili Cook Off

The hospital held a chili cook-off and basketball shootout tournament for the kids this weekend to celebrate March Madness. Amelia was too shy to compete, but was happy to participate in the free play before and afterwards.  Alex got in on the fun too.  He mostly just threw the ball around the room, but eventually figured out that it went in the basket. 

Jimmy loves chili, so he enjoyed tasting all the different variations.  Amelia, takes after Jimmy and ate it up too.  We ended up having to stop by somewhere afterwards so Alex and I could eat since we don't like chili ;0)  I think the surgery section ended up winning the golden ladle.

The weather was gorgeous, so we headed to the playground afterwards.  The kids enjoyed running around and exploring the new playground.  I was super impressed with Amelia climbing skills and ability to play with more of the playground equipment.  She's grown a lot since last Spring.  Alex was all over the place and we had to keep a close watch on him because he is fearless.  He will jump or climb on anything!
