Amelia!

Water broke at 5:20pm 8/19/10

Hmmmmmm... why is my "coach" sleeping?

In labor for 27 hours... why am I still smiling?

Stuck at 7 cm for last 11 hours due to swollen cervix...
so had to have a c-section

Before c-section attire

Amelia Jane Gadingan Lehman
5 pounds, 11 ounces
20 inches long
Born on August 20, 2010 at 8:29pm

Amelia is very petite and has very skinny legs and arms.
She also has very long toes, just like me!

All clean and bundled up
(The hat makes her look like a smurf!)

Showing off her dark hair and dark blue eyes.

Kisses from daddy

After 5 days in the hospital, we finally get to take her home!
Amelia surprisingly loved her car seat!

Rudy and Olivia meeting the new member of the family.
Lucy "Snout" wanted nothing to do with her and ran away!

A shot of Amelia in her "take home" outfit.

She is lovely-congratulations! I hope you are feeling well rested after your hospital stay. Were the nurses nice to you?

She is super cute! That is a very cute dress and I imagine it's a preemie or newborn dress. Both my girls came home in preemie outfits cause the newborn ones were too big. McKena weighed 7lbs. 1oz at birth and Kayla weighed 8lbs. 7oz. at birth. Good luck with your new bundle of joy! You will have many ups and downs with her but as long as you take each day as a new lesson in life you will do just fine. Congrats!

Congradulations Jimmy and Mary! You get a gold star Mary for your 27 hour labor. She looks so adorable. Amelia and Abe's birthdays are only 6 days apart!

Congratulations to both of you on becoming a family (like you had said in an earlier post-you're no longer just a couple)! It is so wonderful to finally see her! Mary-let Jimmy do as much for you as possible (as I know he will) so you can rest. The recovery is long but hopefully yours isn't too bad. Looking forward to watching her grow!
