Ear Bling

Amelia had always planned to get her ears pierced when she was 10. We don't know where she came up with that plan, but it was just something she had always told us, ha ha.  Of course, we supported her plan 100%.

However, the past few weeks, she had been asking about getting her ears pierced. She wanted to know the process, how much it would hurt, and she even asked several of her friends what their experiences were like.

We let her know that all she had to do was let us know when she was ready and she didn't need to wait until she was 10.  Well, after a few weeks of her "research," she woke up one morning and said she was absolutely ready.

She was so brave.  She had a few tears, but she did amazing!

Andrew's Walker (videos)

This is the first walker we've ever owned.  Amelia and Alex never had one.  Andrew is a huge fan.  Walker in the cul de sac... is this tacky?  I wonder what the neighbors think?!

Hanging out at daddy's office while Amelia is at an appointment.
Alex: "Does daddy just play on the computer all day?"

Amelia is a very helpful big sister

Not ready for "chunks" in his food. He spits out every singe piece!

Outside and Out Front

The weather is finally mild enough for daily outside playtime! This week, the kids have been spending most afternoons getting reacquainted with their bikes and playing outside. Andrew does his best to keep up with the big kids in his walker.

Looming clouds...
I'm going to miss our little house and cul de sac.  Thankfully, our new house is also in a cul de sac, yay!  I don't know what we would do without one.  We are so spoiled!

After watching his big brother and sister play basketball, Andrew knows what to do!  Amelia gave him the ball and he scooted over to the hoop on his own.

Amelia was very sweet and allowed Alex to ride her new big girl bike. She was even giving him tips and advice on how not to fall... not being bossy at all, ha ha.

Andrew saw his reflection on the truck's bumper and got excited. He stayed and played over there for a long time.  He's so silly

Andrew cracks me up. He was "running" all over the cul de sac, using his walker, with Amelia and Alex. All three of them were racing and giggling!

His walker is hilarious. I'm sure the neighbors think we are crazy.

Just the Girls

Since I get quality time with the boys every Friday morning, I always schedule a special Girls Day at least once a month with Amelia. She always counts down the days on our calendar and I so enjoy our special time together.  She is such a chatterbox and appreciates the one-on-one attention so much.

We went out to lunch with friends (another mother-daughter duo), painted jewelry boxes for each other, went shopping for Amelia's preschool graduation dress, and ended the day with an ice cream treat.

Amelia is such a caring and sweet kid. Her close relationship with her younger brothers never ceases to amaze me. After we went out for ice cream, she suggested we bring home ice cream for the boys and daddy at home too, so they didn't feel left out.

Amelia is at such a fun age and I'm looking forward to more special Girls Days together as she grows up.

Chuck E Cheese Emergency

Our house is currently under construction and we had no place to go, soooooooo....

We had to take an "emergency" trip to Chuck E Cheese. We stayed for over THREE hours!! Needless to say, the kids were excited.
