Alex's Friday Dates
For the past two years, Friday mornings were special days exclusively for Alex and I. We'd go out for breakfast and do an activity, just the two of us. Now, Andrew is part of our Friday dates! Alex: "Mommy, I love it when Andrew comes to our special days.
Today, we went to Panera Bread for Alex's favorite breakfast treat, a muffie (muffin top).
Then, we headed over to Horsefeathers to paint

Mock Dining In: Caddyshack
We were in it to win it! At the last mock dining-in competition (click here for details), BACH didn't even place in the top three. Being a fiercely competitive group of spouses, this year, with some experience under our belt, we worked really hard to bring home the Golden Eagle!
The overall competition theme this year was "Red Carpet Night." Each unit had to chose a movie as their theme. Units were judged on several categories: costumes, table decor, grand entrance, games, and overall spirit. It's a crazy, silly event, but loads of fun!
We chose the movie Caddyshack as our theme, as we thought it was s different, original, and an easy theme to run with... and we sure ran with it! We went all out. Our creativity and ability to think outside the box got us a first place finish!
What makes this even more special for our unit, is that we are a very small group. In fact, we were one of the smallest groups in the competition. We were a tiny group of 14 spouses, up against giant units with over 100 spouses. We were the ultimate underdogs and nobody expected us to win.
