Al Fresco

It was a little chilly outside, but I bundled up the kids and we had fun on the deck.  We had our snack outside, looked at clouds, sang songs, played basketball, and just enjoyed the fresh air.  We spent almost the whole day outside.  It was so refreshing.

Playground, Smayground

We took the kids to our favorite park, but we ended up just running around in the open field.  We never got around to playing at the playground!  The kids were happy, so that's all that mattered.

NOTE: I'm noticing the picture quality from posts made directly through my phone are not so good.  I might have to stop using the app :(

Fresh Air

My mom often talks about the many benefits of fresh air for a home and health. Her teachings is one of the main reasons I try to take the kids out every day and open the windows when I can to let all the freshness in.

The house had been feeling stuffy and we have been battling multiple illnesses for a while, so I was so happy when the weather allowed us to open all the windows. After a morning of fresh air flowing through our house, it felt so clean, cool, and crisp.

The kids were especially fussy today as well, so as soon as they woke up from their afternoon naps, we went outside. The kids needed to be aired out too! Their moods changed for the better and we ended up staying outside for several hours, until Jimmy got home from work.

We went for a wagon walk, ran around in the grass, played with chalk, looked for "itsy-bitsy spiders," counted worms, and collected rocks. The highlight was that Amelia finally figured out how to ride her tricycle!

I am loving and looking forward to more days like this! Spring is definitely in the air.

Yay, Alex doesn't eat chalk anymore ;0)

Note the leopard shoes and jacket.  This is her new favorite outfit.

Amelia figured out how to ride her tricycle!  We are so proud of her.

The kids love taking wagon walks around our cul da sac.

Who knew rocks could be so exciting.  They played here for almost 30 minutes... without fighting too!

"Mommy, this is the biggest rock!"

As soon as Jimmy got home from work, they wanted to show him their newly discovered rock collection.

A Snowy Monday

Less than a week into Spring and we woke up to about an inch of snow.  The kids were excited and glued to the window all morning.  Mondays are busy for us and the snow did not slow us down!

I thought the chunky sweater and flower in her hair was a perfect combo for the weather outside, a blend of Spring and Winter.

Easter Bunny

Amelia and Alex were absolutely in love with the Easter Bunny!  We had been talking about visiting the Easter bunny all morning and Amelia was very very excited.  She couldn't stop talking about it.

We were sure the kids would freak out as soon as we got up close and personal, but were pleasantly surprised.  Amelia wouldn't stop telling the bunny about how clean her Elly (pink elephant lovey) was and Alex couldn't stop staring.  It was super cute!

Amelia was also hamming it up for the camera, so we were cracking up.  Alex is in desperate need of a haircut, coupled with the fact had just woken up from a nap, so despite all the mommy spit it put in his hair, he is a mess, ha ha.

While were were at the mall, we were also randomly asked to have our picture taken for a local family magazine.  They were talking to families who visited the bunny that day.  The issue should come out in April or May, so I'll keep an eye out for it.

Cute, These Kids Are

I'm biased, but I think my kids are cute.  Here are a few pics from the week...

The look on her face is priceless.

We just transitioned Alex to a booster seat at the table.  Amelia is either super happy or gets really annoyed about sitting across from him.
