Week 28
Okay, so this little guy has moved up a bit higher because now I can feel him kicking up near my ribs and on the sides of my belly. Sometimes I lift my shirt up and can see his little feet or arms poking through the skin of my belly. It really does look like that scene from that movie Alien.
It's been especially hard to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Even sitting on the couch has become uncomfortable. During the day, while I care for our rambunctious Amelia, I feel fine. The only real trouble I have is bending over to pick her up and getting up from the floor after picking her up. However, by the time she goes to bed, my body just completely shuts down and the exhaustion sets in. I just crash.
My belly and c-section scar are always itchy. I lather up with lotion twice a day, but I am just waiting for my stretch marks to multiply :( With Amelia, I got a bunch around my belly button about two weeks before she was born. I guess was never into wearing bikinis anyway...
I'm starting to panic about having a boy. I'm wondering how much different it will be than a girl. There may be no difference at all, but it still stresses me out! A lot of my friends say it's normal to feel that way... I'm just hoping everything comes naturally. I guess I didn't know what to do with a girl when Amelia was born ;0)

Amelia 14.0
My baby is exactly 14 months old today!
New phrases:
"What's that?" - I'm glad that she's curious, but this question is exhausting. She points to everything and wants to know what it is and everything about it.
"Bye poop!" - She says this sometimes when we flush her poop down the toilet. (With cloth diapers, you have to flush the poop before you wash them.)
The Little Things:
She loves to throw things and say "uh ohh." This too can also be very frustrating. Especially during meal time.
Amelia likes to take things and sort them into piles. Sometimes the objects are sorted by color, but most of the time her sorting appears random. She does this when she empties the pantry, the recycling bin, and the bathroom and kitchen cabinets, etc.
This kind of goes along with the sorting, she loves to fill and empty containers.
She squeals in delight when we "chase" her around. Jimmy and I say, "I'm going to get you!" and she runs around, squeals, giggles, and goes crazy!
She cuddles with her soft toys. She likes to rub the soft parts of her stuffed animals and blankets. She often times holds them up to her face to cuddle. She also sucks her lip when she's cuddling or touching something soft.
If she finds a piece of dirt or small object on the floor, she immediately picks it up and hands it to me. I'm just thankful she doesn't put it in her mouth!
She loves books and reading. When she's wants us to read to her, she brings us a book and sits on our lap. This gets exhausting because she either wants you to read her the same book like 10 times or she keeps bringing us book after book, after book.
She also enjoys "reading to herself." This involves turning all the pages and looking at the pictures. Sometimes, she points to the pictures and talks to herself.
Amelia likes to help me with the laundry. I'm sure this goes with her loves of sorting, filling, and emptying. She pulls the clean clothes out of the basket and hands them to me or she makes small piles of the clothes.
She can unlock my iPhone.
We place newspaper under her highchair to make clean up easier after she eats. Now, when she sees a stack of newspapers, she starts piling them underneath her high chair!
Like the kitties, she loves to unravel the toilet paper.

Baby Legs and Rats Oh My!
Amelia has several pairs of "baby legs." Basically, they are leg warmers for babies. We usually only have her wear them around the house, ha ha ha ;0) Oh yeah, she is is still in love with her rats! She is so weird!

Pumpkin Patch
Today, we went back to Butler's Orchard with some friends. We hit up the harvest festival again and this time went to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin.

Miscalculation
If Alex comes on time (beginning of January), I guess our kids will be 16 months apart... not 17 months like I first thought. I don't know why, but a 16 month age difference sounds much more daunting to me.

Week 27
Welcome third trimester! OMG, time is just flying by...
Baby Alexander has been twisting and turning like crazy in my belly. The kicks and punches are all felt in the lower part of my belly. I haven't felt any kicks above my belly button. He feels very very low. It was the exact same way with Amelia.
At this point in the pregnancy our little man can now hear very well. We started putting lullaby music up to my belly for him to listen too. It's the same lullaby music Amelia listened to while she was in my belly. Amelia still naps and goes to bed to the same songs and we will do the same with baby Alexander ;0) In fact, Amelia is napping right now and I can hear the music!
At my last appointment, my doctor mentioned that my c-section scar was a lot longer than a normal one and asked if I had an emergency c-section with Amelia. I had an unplanned c-section, but it was not an emergency situation, so I was troubled by her observation. Argh, I was better off not knowing my scar was longer than normal :(
I'm starting to panic about the repeat c-section. I've been asking around and have been surprised at how many friends have had repeat c-sections. It made me feel better, like I wasn't in the minority. Friends who've had repeat c-sections say a second, scheduled one is so much easier to recover from.
I guess that makes sense since with Amelia I labored for 27 hours before the c-section. I'm assuming my body won't be as exhausted and worn out this time around. I also had clotting and bleeding issues after I had Amelia, so I had to have another, emergency procedure done just a few minutes after my c-section. I'm am hoping and praying I don't have the same complications this time around.
I feel bad about saying this, but I'm also relieved that I won't have to go through labor. Labor is no joke and was the most painful thing I ever experienced. It's reassuring knowing that I won't be in that much pain, although recovering from a c-section is pretty bad too.
